ERIC'S RANTS PAGE

As you all know by now, I formerly studied at the Open University. The University has a strong and active debating group, and I have (as you know) very strong opinions. Consequently, whenever I had time (and often when I didn't) I can be found either in OUSA Debate, OUSA Politics, or OUSA International Affairs.

At least a couple of contributors save many of my contributions and trot them out, sometimes as long as two or three years later, in other debates. You've no idea just how flattering that can be. At the beginning of February 2007, I posted a certain comment in a debate in OUSA International Affairs which attracted some private comment. I was asked by someone if their daughter could read it.

So, if so many people want their own private copies of whatever I write in on-line debate, then you can have yours too. Feel free to pass them on. The original post is in italics and my reply is in normal type.

As well as this, my website and my blog are littered with comments that are relevant to the political situation today. I may as well sort them out and post them here too as I go along. But just like Captain Oates, I "may be some time", so keep checking back.
